The action begins in Barcelona, on the eve of the Universal Exposition of 1888. Onofre is an ambitious youth that arrives at the city seeking his fortune. There he meets Delfina, an anarchist that helps him find his way. Little by little, and after being introduced to the mafia world, Onofre manages to make his dreams come true, making those who hamper his desires for power pay dearly.
