Are we all Mixed?: Project Presentation 'Atlas topogenético de Filipinas'

discussion

In a country where everyone is part-this and half-that, knowing one’s origins has been a piece of information that raises the curiosity of many and has been the center of several movements of popular culture today. Genetic research is providing dramatic results in the analysis of migration and settlement of people. Professor of Biology of the Universidad Complutense , Antonio Gonzalez-Martin, a participant in the "Atlas topogenético of the Philippines," will present at the Instituto Cervantes the first results of his research on the Filipino people and reflect on them in a talk with the Filipino anthropologist Fernando Zialcita.
